O nás/ About us

Jděte do místního obchodu a používejte místní jazyk.

Anebo byste to snad chtěli nějak jinak? Obstarejte si ty správné knihy a ten správný jazykový kurz, který Vám bude vyhovovat a najděte si ty správné učitele a poradce.

W. Clement Stone

Dear customers,

Learning a language is an art. It takes skill, patience, quick thinking, and discipline in order to perfect it. As with anything we learn to do well, once we get to a certain skill level, we no longer feel as if it is difficult; rather it becomes a part of us. Robert A. Heinland once said that it was the sort of sword that felt as if it were an extension of your body. In the same way, language is the sword, which is an extension of the Mind. This sword will help you to cut through confusion by expressing your ideas clearly to others.

Language is also an extension of your Heart. When you begin to use English, Chinese, Spanish, or whatever language you want, you are like a newborn child, learning to express himself again from the beginning. This can seem scary at first, because we soon realize that we cannot tell someone what we really feel in words. We have used words ever since we were young, and losing this ability again by speaking to people from other countries makes us experience all over these feelings of helplessness. Many of us have felt the same when we lived abroad, which motivated us to study this language for a few years in order to connect with people. We learned the value of language, and became somewhat self-sufficient.

You have decided to take this journey, student. As you travel, remember the Five Elements of Learning and you will be just fine.

WATER: There are not more than five musical notes, yet the combinations of these five give rise to more melodies than can ever be heard. We learn a language simply to communicate. We do not need to learn a lot of complex words and vocabulary in order to do this well. Many people do business together, date or marry each other, or live with people that do not speak their native language. That does not mean that we enjoy each other less because we cannot communicate perfectly, or that we need to use a lot of difficult words. Use the words you know, and start small. Go to a grocery store and speak the local language. Greet people you meet in social events, even if you seem crazy. Live simply, and people will understand you. You will improve as time goes by, but even the small amount of words you know now can make a big difference in the lives of others.

EARTH: Flow with whatever may happen, and let your mind be free: Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. You may sometimes worry that you have not achieved a certain level of language proficiency. That is okay, but don´t fret; remember that you have chosen to learn this new skill, and you have your own strengths and weaknesses. You have begun to take a journey into another cultures way of thinking by learning how to communicate with them. Do not spend all of your time feeling unhappy because you cannot speak like Johnny, or Dave, or Mary, or Charles. Appreciate the chance to speak to another and be understood. In the past, we didn´t have Google Translate, so you are learning a living art, which will help you to discover a new culture, way of life, and history. Be grateful for this, and live in the moment. Only then will you appreciate the progress that you are making.

WOOD: The general who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand. Thus do many calculations lead to victory, and few calculations to defeat: how much more no calculation at all! It is by attention to this point that I can foresee who is likely to win or lose. When you decide to undertake a course in a language, prepare carefully. You will need constant practice, and don´t assume that you will ever stop learning. You won´t, so get ready for a lifetime of learning besides, would you want it any other way? Get the right books and courses that work for you and find the right teachers and guides. Decide how much money you would like to spend on your courses, and create a regular schedule that will allow you to make substantial progress each week. Know how much time you can dedicate out of your busy lifestyle so that you can keep a well-balanced routine. Only then will you achieve a level within a particular time. Inconsistency will slow your progress and keep you from achieving your goal.

METAL: If you merely read this words you will not reach the Way of strategy. Absorb the things written in this article. Do not just read, memorize or imitate, but so that you realize the principle from within your own heart study hard to absorb these things into your body. One of my biggest criticisms of language learners, especially in our country, is that students have difficulty understand how to learn a language because they study through rote memorization, or memorizing a lot of things with the hope that they will learn. This does nothing to help them learn meaning, and many times, students forget what they have learned in a short period of time, or have to take classes later on because they have forgotten the language. It is better to visualize or use tricks in order to understand the meaning of a word, rather than to simply study for hours each day. This is a learning technique called associative learning. We create a relationship between two seemingly unrelated things in order to remember how to use a word correctly.

FIRE: But when you´re in front of an audience and you make them laugh at a new idea, you´re guiding the whole being for the moment. No one is ever more him/herself than when they really laugh. Their defenses are down. It´s very Zen-like, that moment. They are completely open, completely themselves when that message hits the brain and the laugh begins. That´s when new ideas can be implanted. If a new idea slips in at that moment, it has a chance to grow. Remember not to be so serious when you are learning. Ricky Gervais is one of my favorite comedians, and through his jokes and wit, we have learned a lot about the world. When learning a language, you are much more open to learn a new idea, topic, or subject, if you are having fun. This is exactly why we tell people to get away from studying books and to learn an interactive method for learning a language. Play a game. Meet friends. Go on some dates. Join a club. Do whatever you need to do in order to motivate yourself to practice. You will be much more receptive, happier, and you will enjoy the process of learning. When I teach classes, we love to use humor. The student typically forgets that the class is forty-five minutes, and I feel better that it doesn´t feel like the class is an hour long. Time certainly flies when you´re having fun, and so will your progress. Without creating this interest, and without having fun, especially in your education, you will be the saddest language learner of them all. Enjoy our art of edu-tainment (entertainment and education).

Finally, think about the goals that you want to set for your education. What kind of person do you want to be? Where do you see yourself in a year or two as an English speaker? Stand in the mirror, and realize that your future is possible if you know that you are capable. No matter what happens, you will make your goals come true only when you know that you want them.

Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star. W. Clement Stone
Remember to aim high.
